We have been back to Sydney From NZ twice now; and have been to Paddy`s both times, buying special bits and pieces for those back home. Got a caricature of my hubby done and it was brilliant. Reasonable prices, welcoming atmosphere; and yes good conversations with many of the stallholders.
Would recommend to all without a problem. |

Our latest visit from the uk and of course down to Paddy`s for the souveniers to take home .What a palace of bargains and to end the day a chat to the lady who owns the cuddly stuffed toy stall selling Russ and Oz made koalas, roo`s and other lovely animals. There was a lady market manager there also and we all had a great informal chat and a laugh telling some jokes and stories from both sides of the world. It was nice to be treat as well as we were as visitors to Oz .The lady knew her cricket also ,we will revisit one day again. |

Went to Paddy`s Market for the 1st time 4 days ago and I recommend it to everyone. We were told to get the train to Central Station and then find the signs to the tram to Paddys. Tram took us straight outside the market. Too easy. Couldn`t get over the bargains. Bought a leather handbag for $35. Leather jackets around $99. Had breakfast upstairs in the food hall for $6 huge plate of bacon, eggs, sausages, tomato and toast. Friend bought 3 wigs and they look so real and were very cheap. Half the price I`ve seen them elsewhere. |

I am a Sydney resident and love shopping for fresh food at Paddy`s Market. I have never seen it not crowded, yet it is not open on all days, and not open till late on Thursdays either.
I suppose the special timing adds character to it... however, because of that, I can`t just wander in. I have to plan to go there which is annoying.
