We had a very informative and informal leisurely stroll through Waratah. Our guide Helen was wonderful and as childhood fans of the TV programme Skippy we were pleasantly surprised to learn that we were actually on the original set. The parks residents were in abundance and very friendly. This place is well worth a visit. |

The place where our dreams of the good old relaxed days came true. Where else can you see Bettongs and Potoroos running free? These are really cute wee animals, more appealing than the kangaroos and wallabies. Go there as the sun sets for a spectacular experience. |

What a wonderful way to see Australia`s amazing and unique wildlife. We really enjoyed wandering around the beautiful grounds as the sun went down, and then watching all the beautiful animals come out to play. There were so many of them - some I had never heard of. Really informative guided tour capped off a great evening. |

We visited Waratah Park in October 2002 and were met at the gate by an 11 year old girl, who was charming and informative. She had a Dingo the that she had raised from a pup and was hoping to get permission to breed ir soon. I hope it happened . The park was wonderful and I hated to leave. We will be back in August, 2004 and are lookjng forward to returning to Waratah Park and hopefully see that wonderful young girl and see her pet Dingo and it`s offspring.

Waratah National Park Home and set of the 60`s Television Series "Skippy the bush Kangaroo" is under threat of closure, i have visited this park and location and just to see where the Tv Series was filmed brought back old after school memories, although the park has since lost its theme attachment to the SKIPPY SERIES, the views are spectacular, a nice tranquil day out. |
