Guided tours of the building is a cheaper alternative to a performance and walking around and along the paved waterfront opens excellent views free of charge. Located at historical Bennelong Point, the building has several theatre halls, retail outlets, restaurants and cafes. |

I visited the opera house in July 2005 with my Mum who is a Sydney resident.Being from the UK it was always an ambition to see it in the flesh ! A truly stunning and most beautiful building.The guided tour is a must as the interior is fantastic and the guides very knowledgeable.I hope to come back in 2007 and do it all again.

Been a constructionworker at the substructure from 1960 to 1964, for ex. Major Hall, Entrance stairway and the Shells. Enjoyed working with so many nationalities. Never saw it finished, glad I can see it now by means of these beautiful photographes. Maybe sometime I might see it really live? Lovely building !
