| One of the biggest Buddhist temples in the southern hemisphere. It is a working house of worship and offers meditation classes and comfortable modern accommodation. And you don’t have to be a monk to enjoy its beautifully landscaped garden and classical stylish architecture on a weekend trip, especially when you are in the Wollongong area. |

We visited the temple in December 04 and found it to be a place of beauty, friendship but most of all a peaceful atmosphere which made you want to consider things in a different light. |

I started to visit this place when it was first being constructed for a Youth Camp and have loved the place ever since. There is a tranquility to the place that gives peace to one`s soul. I thank "fate" to lead me to this wonderful place and its teachings |

Loved Nan Tien Temple. I visited Dec.2004. There was a festival taking place with lots of different foods, crafts, and vendors. My friends and I stayed two nights at the Pilgrim Lodge which was very basic but spotlessly clean and very quiet. The grounds and buildings are beautiful, esp. the fabulous lotus garden. The nuns and monks made us feel very welcome. They offer monthly retreats and I definitely am plannning a return trip. I have only praise for this lovely place. |

I visited the temple a few years ago and I note the addittions in the park. It was in June when I visited, so the lotus were not in bloom. I was impressed by the almosphere of peace, despite the nearby busy road. It might be an interesting place to spend a short retreat. |
