Government House presents one of the finest examples of Gothic Revival architecture, designed by Edward Blore and colonial architect Mortimer Lewis. It was constructed between 1837-1845 and still contains a collection of furnishings and decoration of that era. The building is occasionally used by the Governor for various events and is accessible for general public at other times. Access is organized in form of several guided tours through the day and is currently free of charge.

I learnt alot about the house & about the previous govenors in history. I suggest this site to anyone, and I am sure that you will enjoy it as much as I did!!!
