| The Lane Cove National Park occupies a bushland valley in Northern Sydney, extending along the Lane Cove River from Fullers Bridge, Chatswood. Very popular weekend destination among Sydneysiders for its proximity, lavish green areas, woodfire barbecue facilities, a river with a paddleweeler to ride on, row boat hire facilities and the Kukundi Wildlife Shelter. The area is rich with aboriginal and European settlers history, although visible evidence of it is rarely found here. Rich wildlife includes possums, king parrots, fairy-wren and diamond pythons and more. Free entry (fee applies for cars). Be early to pick a picnic spot. |

The Paddlewheeler `TURRUMBURRA` was retired from this location in early 2000,however it can now be found cruising the Hawkesbury River (Windsor )under a different name.

Hi! Lane cove is a fantastic place,one can enjoy the beauty of nature in its high spirit here.Apart from this it give mental peace,so a great place to visit.

We went here for a picnic in 2001-it was a fantastic park, very unspoilt-with great views of Sydney in the distance-highly recommended!
