| Set on the fringe of the City, the Domain is white collars' favorite place for corporate lunchtime soccer games and jogging. Set aside for public recreation in 1810, not so exciting by itself, it hosts open air music concerts and rock festivals in the summer. There are nice views of East Sydney from the Art Gallery part of the park where you can also see some sculpture works of modern and old artists. |

We attended Symphony in the Domain in January 2001 and will never forget this fantastic experience!!! Apart from the exceptionally warm welcome from those around us we were tremendously impressed with the citizens` civic pride. After the concert there was zero litter and you would not have known over 70,000 people had attended a free concert. Sadly, this would not have been the case in the UK. Although people were enjoying food and drink there was no sign of drunkeness or vandalism. Well done Sydney! |
