| On the foreshore of Vaucluse, this small beach, although scenic, historical and quiet, is not as good for swimming as the neighboring Shark Beach or Parsley Bay. It is best to walk across the road to the Vaucluse Park with its Vaucluse House mansion, stone bridges over picturesque channels and abundance of palm groves and flowerbeds. |

Vaucluse bay is lovely on the high tide, great place for a picnic - shade under the beautiful trees. Better than Parsley bay is Nielson Park (next to Vaucluse Bay) a georgeous place to swim deep off the beach.

i have lived in vacluse for over 13 years now, i do not belive that it is as wonderfull as people make out.
Though "Vaucluse House" is a very quiet and relaxing place with a wonderfull teagarden`s to nibble on scones and reflect where you are.
The bay it self is not a very senic place the view is of dirty looking water,morred boats and huge houses.
I think parsley bay is much nicer with a small view of the harbour and a wonderfull little park to have a picnic at.

Christmas Day 2002 visit, clean beach & changing rooms, good restaurant meal in lovely surroundings, happy memories to take back to U.K.
