| Mosman's Chowder Bay is secluded and much smaller place next to Balmoral Beach but is still a popular spot. It provides a very nice park for a picnic or party, shark proof net in the water (which is not as clean though as at some other beaches) and access to a pleasant stroll in the Sydney Harbour National Park. Watsons Bay is visible on the opposite shore. While in the area, visit one of the main Sydney attractions, Taronga Zoo. |

Mosman Council has just spent heaps upgrading the Clifton Gardens playground. Most of the equipment was supplied by PlayRope and Berliner Seilfabrik - It must rate as one of the best playgrounds in Sydney possibly Australia - It even has a special swing for wheelchair kids as well as activities for kids of all ages. |

Hi, actually this beach is called Clifton Gardens and is in the suburb of Mosman. Mosman has several beaches including this one, Obelisk Beach, Chinamans and the most popular being Balmoral Beach. We often scuba dive at Clifton Gardens to see the colony of sea horses that live on the nets and pilons there. I would be happy to help out with any info needed about this area. |

This park is wheelchair friendly with a large flat grassy area with free parking directly off the foreshore if you get there early enough, otherwise parking not far away up the hill around the houses. It is dog friendly (with certain limitations, but off-leash at certain times, I think after 4 p.m.) Toilets and cold showers, benches under the trees, barbecues, and apart from the shark net with beach sand for swimming, there is a pier frequented by fisherpersons. I expected it to be crowded, but the day I went there was room for all. I`ll be going again. |
